The basic answer to this is SOUL MUSIC. The bulk of the music is Northern Soul, with a good mixture of Oldies, Tamla Motown, today's monster records and lots of tomorrow's monster records. There is a lot of 70's modern soul as well and a splattering of R & B, and crossover.
Each week there are five daytime sessions featuring quality themed music that you won't hear at nights.
We don't play Reggae, Ska, 60's English pop music or Garage.

Sorry we can't do this anymore, but our friend Linda owns a travel agents and can sort you out with flights, accommodation, transfers etc Check out The Little Travel Shop page. You are of course free to sort out your own holiday and buy a pass to join us at nights.

We have soul nights every night from Friday to Thursday, starting at around 8 pm, and finishing around 2am. We also have 5 daytime sessions, dedicated to chill out, Motown, Crossover, Modern tunes and 60's Rare Soul.

You will be issued with a wristband on the first night that you arrive. Your name will be checked off the list of those who have paid for their pass. You will not get in without a pass

Not a chance. We have security guards, and without a wristband there is no admittance. We used to do pay on the door passes if the people looked OK, and fitted our criteria (soul fans and old and knackered!), but now it is strictly advanced bookings only. Anyone not wearing their wristband, if they do happen to get in, (very unlikely) will be asked to leave,

Soul in the Sun is all about making friends. If you sit by yourself, and keep to yourself that's how it is. BUT remember everyone in the room is just like yourself, wanting to make friends, so with a simple " Hi, where about are you from" you will soon make friends, and some of them will become life long I promise. Also it's advisable to buy a Soul in the Sun shirt or something, then when you go to clubs back in the UK, you are bound to bump into someone else from Soul in the Sun
